This year's installment of our sought after Christmas concert takes place on the Second Advent. As always we give you a concert in two parts: first a traditional Lucia procession and then a dazzling Christmas concert. This year we will sing some more Swedish pieces than we usually do, and of course make room for some new and old favourites in our repertoire. Welcome!
We would like to invite you to a so-called "after-work"-concert full of folk tunes for choir! We will be singing folk songs and folk tunes, both well-known and beloved as well as lesser-sung pieces that are just as dear. You will get to hear arrangements by Hugo Alfvén and Nils Lindberg, among others. We will perform several favourites from our very own pocket song book and lots more, including two Irish folk songs, since a couple of weeks after the concert, we travel to Ireland and will hold a concert in Cork before heading to Dublin. We are about to be graced by the visit of a sister choir from Estonia! In June of 2023 we travelled to Tallinn and met Segakoor Noorus, a very skilled choir in similar age to ourselves. We put together a concert together and became fast friends! This spring they travel to Stockholm to see the city and, of course, to meet us! We will celebrate with another joint concert on this side of the Baltic Sea.
